This Fellows 50-8 is going through a complete rebuild process complete with a new modern CNC upgrade.
Our plans currently include a complete CNC upgrade to a Fanuc OiM-F Plus Control package with all new Fanuc Alpha HVi digital servos.
Adding a full conversational programming environment, means no more manual adjustments for typical/similar shaping cycles.
With the new CNC your positioning accuracy and the speed of execution will be greatly improved. This translates to faster cycle times and more accurate cutting capabilities.
The mechanical side includes way repair, all bearings and seals being replaced.
New hydraulic components, hoses and feedback systems.
Cleaned and verified functional hydro-static lift system in the worktable.
Work table and shaping head worm lash adjusted back to specifications.
Shaping head Control rod system, guide and lower bushing inspected, repaired or replaced as required.
