Fully CNC controlled Fellows FS400-125 gear shaping machine equipped with Fanuc 16iM-B CNC and 4 position tool magazine.
We have one of these Fellows FS400-125 shapers with a 4 position tool changer magazine left from a group of several we acquired from Caterpillar. This particular machine was rebuilt and re-controlled by Bourn and Koch with a Fanuc 16iM-B CNC. MTB will support to the best of our ability all software and hardware in this Fellows machine except pre-compiled proprietary Fellows or Bourn and Koch code. The reason for this exclusion is that we cannot get inside the code. However, we can however replace it with MTB’s proprietary FS400-125 Conversational Software (for an additional fee) if required. NOTE - This machine is equipped with the very desirable extended X axis (Radial) way system to allow large diameter internal shaping over center without reversing the cam to switch between externals and internals. Delivery - This Fellows FS400-125 shaper is "as-is" and would require about 12-16 weeks to fully reassemble power up and test before delivery.
