The RGC 350 chamfering machine has been developed together with the Radial Gear Chamfering process and is precisely tailored to its requirements. The RGC process can be used to produce defined, reproducible chamfers on the tooth face edges, even on workpieces with interfering contours, such as multiple gears and/or shaft shoulders/offsets, etc. The chamfering process takes place in continuous operation at high cutting speeds in an environmentally friendly and economical dry cut. This enables you to achieve short cycle times and maximum efficiency with minimal installation space and maximum working space at the same time. In addition to disc- and wheel-shaped workpieces, workpieces can also be machined that cannot be machined with other processes due to collision geometries, for example a shaft shoulder close to the root circle, one or more additional teeth in the case of multiple sprockets or other interfering contours. By using standard interfaces, low-cost tools, tool holders and workpiece clamping devices can be used with the corresponding short delivery times.
With a workpiece specific solid carbide chamfer milling cutter, precise and repeatable chamfer shapes are produced cost-efficiently in the shortest possible time.
