Gear manufacturing machinery is one of our specialties, with a focus on gear cutting (hobbing and shaping) and grinding applications. However we do offer services for all types of machine tools. We routinely rebuild, recontrol, retool, and service all major brands …Fellows, Gleason, Hurth, Kapp, Kapp-Pfauter, Liebherr, Lorenz, Mitsubishi, Modul, Red Ring, and Pfauter … just to name a few.
Within North America, our Service Technicians can usually be in your plant within 24 hours. While we are comfortable with many different control platforms, Fanuc, Siemens, NUM, Allen Bradley, Telemecanique and Square D are a few of our specialties. Our goal is to get you, the customer, up and running quickly and reliably.
Centrally located in Northern Illinois, Machine Tool Builders, has a new 20,100 square-foot addition, which includes a new 25-ton overhead crane, spanning half the shop width (50-feet x 150 feet long), with creep speeds, and 25-feet under the hook. Other special features include a climate controlled environment, 35-foot ceiling height and 2-ton jib cranes at each machine building station. This new facility allows for larger rebuilds and equipment manufacturing. MTB’s original facility is equipped with a 10-ton overhead crane with creep speeds, a 6,510 square-foot bay with a 25-foot ceiling for machinery rebuilding, and an 8,596 square-foot manufacturing area with a 12-foot ceiling. The low bay houses our inventory, display area, and shop offices.
